Hello and thanks for taking the time to read about this exciting role at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.

We are committed to getting the best deal for our residents and you must be too. This devolution process has been two years in the process, and we are finally at a stage where we can begin to deliver our plan. Now the time is right to appoint a Chief Executive to lead the devolution deals on behalf of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough combined authority.

This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering economic growth, affordable homes for people to live and skills so our residents can find good jobs, whilst ensuring our elderly and more vulnerable citizens receive high quality professional care. For example; we have received £600m for the next 30 years to support economic growth, development of infrastructure and jobs, £170m for affordable housing and powers to integrate local health and social care resources to provide better outcomes for residents. The scale and breadth of the work is truly vast and will have a huge impact on the lives of our local people.

Your place based leadership will be vital in galvanising a significant range of partners to deliver positive outcomes for our residents. You will be comfortable championing Cambridgeshire and Peterborough on the national stage, and securing additional funding and powers as we make good on our promises to date.

If you feel you are a good match for this role; we would be keen to hear from you.

Steve Count, Interim Leader of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Leader of Cambridgeshire County Council.
